Local 303 President

Local President Juan O. Torres presides at all meetings of the Local 303 Union and exercises all of the authority and responsibility of chairperson. Including Executive Board, Council, and at all sessions of the Executive Board sitting as a Trial Board except when s/he has been disqualified by the Uniform Local Union Constitution.

Juan appoints Sergeants-at-Arms, Auditors, and such committees as he deems necessary for conducting the affairs of the 303 Union. He ensures the provisions of all agreements are enforced and respected by all persons affected or bound thereby. He is empowered to appoint, remove and supervise shop stewards within this Local.

President Torres is charged with the responsibility of protecting the craft jurisdiction of the Local 303 using all proper and lawful means of organizing the unorganized within the territorial and craft jurisdictions of 303. As the Local leader he has authority over all Branch Presidents and makes reports of his activities at each meeting of the Local Union and the Executive Board.

Brother Torres has the authority to employ such technical, administrative, ordinary business expenses, and clerical assistance as necessary for the efficient conduct of the affairs of this Union, subject to the subsequent approval of the Local Executive Board. 

If any member ever has a concern about an issue they DO NOT have to wait until a Union meeting is called to be heard. He is always a phone call, text, letter, note, email, fax or visit away and makes his attention available 24/7. Never let a concern fester just give him the courtesy of a fraternal shout-out.
